The next “Hydrates Days” of the GDR2026 “Gas Hydrates” will take place from December 03 (14h00) to 05 (12h00), 2024 in Lille.

After Le Croisic in 2023, we look forward to seeing you in Lille for this event. It will take place at Hôtel MOXY, 3 rue Jean Bart, 59000 Lille, France.

The “Gas Hydrates” GDR focuses on 4 areas of research:

“Molecular Sciences": this axis aims to provide fundamental data (thermodynamics, kinetics, physical chemistry, spectroscopy, structure, etc.) to support the development of gas hydrates.

“Process Engineering": covers technological applications such as gas storage and transport, capture and separation of gaseous or liquid effluents, treatment of salt water and leachates, as well as thermal and refrigeration applications.

“Geosciences” axis covers issues related to hydrate formation in natural sedimentary environments on continental margins and permafrost-frozen soils,

“Astrophysics and Planetology": this area covers questions linked to the formation of primitive elements at the origin of solar system bodies. This involves studying the formation of hydrates from volatile elements under extreme conditions (low temperature) and at low or high pressure.
